Meet Our Staff Team

  • Pete Thompson

    Senior Pastor

Pete is the Senior Pastor at Arundel Presbyterian Church. His primary role is to lead our church in being true to our motto - All for Jesus. He does this by preaching and teaching the transforming gospel of God's grace in Christ so that those who belong to Jesus grow in him and those who don't yet belong can meet Jesus and receive salvation and life in his name. Pete is married to Suzie and they have two daughters and two sons. Life is full but when there's time Pete enjoys (in no particular order) reading, riding, running & renovating.

  • Tim Cumming

    Youth & Young Adults Pastor

Tim is the Youth and Young Adults Pastor at Arundel Presbyterian Church, husband to Eloise and dad to Sammy and Phoebe. Tim has a heart to see people know Jesus, whether they be near or far. In Tim's spare time, you might catch him on a surfboard, sipping a coffee in Chirn Park or marvelling at God's creation.

  • Jordan Huxley

    Ministry Apprentice

Jordan is our second-year ministry apprentice. He’s married to Briony and has a daughter named Annie. Jordan finds it difficult to choose whether he loves sports or music more. One thing is for sure though, he loves spending time with others and chatting about life.

  • Amberley Te Ohaere

    Office Administrator

Amberley is Arundel Presbyterian Church’s office admin.

Meet Our Elders

  • George Harris

    Elder - Early Service, LateStart

George has retired and is actively involved in many aspects of church life including serving as a growth group leader as well as session clerk. He and his wife Jan have two adult sons. George’s interests include reading, travel and music. He has recently downsized from a rural property and is enjoying his new small garden.

  • Andrew Pearce

    Elder - LateStart

Andrew has been a part of Arundel Presbyterian Church since moving to the coast in 2012. While he moved here for work (as a Civil Engineer) he joined Arundel Presbyterian Church with Martine and their kids because of its focus on God’s word and the desire to see the good news go out to the community around us. He’s involved in leading Growth Groups, preaching and serving wherever he’s needed. If he has the chance, you’ll find him on the weekends either riding, running, or fishing but most likely either he or Martine will be driving the kids to the four corners of the Coast.

  • Peter Scott

    Elder - Early Service, LateStart

Peter is married to Glenda and has two children, both who are now adults. He grew up in a Christian home and his faith and love in the Lord Jesus has been growing deeper and stronger over the years. He is in awe at the immense love of Christ, that he would die for sinners. He loves to go bushwalking in the Tasmania wilderness, and while hiking, he can be often heard trying to remember the lyrics to old hymns like And Can It Be and Rock Of Ages. He’s looking forward to a better singing voice in heaven.

  • Ramy Saeed

    Elder - LateStart, Nightshift

When Ramy and his wife Hanan started coming to Arundel Presbyterian Church many years ago, they were engaged by how everything is centred around the great news of Jesus and this is the main thing they love about our Church. He enjoys the gospel-focused teaching and relationships at Church, and regularly attends LateStart and NightShift. Ramy enjoys opening the bible with others one-on-one and in Growth Group. When not at church or busy at work, he loves running around on a squash court and watching heaps of soccer.
